Introducing The AdvaTx Laser

Redness, be gone! A gentle, dual-wavelength laser has arrived at Grove and Kane to treat redness, enlarged capillaries, brown spots, acne, and generalized aging concerns.

First, cool ultrasound gel is applied to the skin. With the laser handpiece making contact with the skin, the 589 nanometer wavelength targets redness and hyperpigmentation. This wavelength works by absorbing specifically into oxyhemoglobin: the compound that gives our blood its red color! This dissolves unwanted capillaries, leaving you with a more even-toned appearance. Some clients even notice a difference instantly!

This portion can feel like pin-pricks, and depending on how much redness there is, sensation can range in intensity. On the pain scale from 1-10, many of our clients felt between a 3-6, with some spiking to 7 or 8 momentarily.

Next, we utilize the 1319 nanometer wavelength. This part of the treatment is conducted by hovering or “scanning” above the skin. This part feels warm, but not uncomfortable. Here, the target of the laser is water in our dermis to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin. This helps reduce wrinkling. For those suffering from acne, this wavelength also helps regulate sebum production which leads to less breakouts over time.

At the end, we reserve 15 minutes for spot treatment. This could include targeting larger capillaries or brown spots.Sometimes little crusts can form where spot treatment was performed. These little spots slough off within 5 or so days.

After the treatment, redness and heat is expected for the first day or so, but many of our clients experienced very little downtime after treatment.

We recommend a series of 4 treatments, spaced at 3-4 week intervals for treating rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation or generalized aging concerns. Interested? Book The Laser Treatment now, or contact us to find out if this treatment would be a good fit.
